The AGC of Wisconsin's strength and value come from a variety of sources:
- Legal Services - Two on-staff attorneys provide consultation to members on a variety of legal matters such as contract review, construction liens and bonds, and contract award disputes.
- Labor & Human Resources - The AGC of Wisconsin legal team has strong backgrounds in labor negotiations and provide a wide range of services to assist with workforce issues.
- Safety & Environmental - Three safety and environmental directors provide an extensive array of training, consultation services, and information on construction safety topics.
- Education & Training - We continue to offer the most comprehensive educational training to Wisconsin's construction industry. Education is available for every employee of your company through programs such as Supervisory Training Program (STP), Leadership AGC, SIR Masters Group, Marketing Forum, Project Manager Forum, AGC/ASPE Estimating Academy, and a variety of other programs.
- Legislative Representation - AGC's goal is that no legislation or regulation affecting our industry comes out of Madison without our stamp of approval. AGC's effectiveness at the Capitol has never been greater.
The AGC of Wisconsin's strength as an organization lies in its membership. The chapter represents over 275 members that include: large and small general and specialty contractors; union and open shop general and specialty contractors; members working in a variety of markets; and industry related companies. This diversity provides our organization with credibility at the Capitol and with industry stakeholders.
Our strategic plan strongly demonstrates that AGC of Wisconsin is dedicated to serving our members throughout the state by focusing on the issues that will impact the future of Wisconsin's construction industry. Issues such as workforce development, industry influence and representation, and statewide access to AGC's professional services are keys to ensuring a positive business climate for commercial construction.
