This one-day course will help the participant gain a better understanding of the industry and how ‘things work.’ This course has been designed as a follow up to and builds on the Construction 101 course, thus providing greater insight into Project Management and Superintendent fundamentals. Participants will learn how construction firms manage the construction process from set up to turn over and will gain a basic understanding on how projects are managed from the field. Key topics include document management & control, project management tools, material tracking, contracts, change orders, submittals, progress schedules, site utilization, subcontractor coordination, punch list, inspections, and safety management. Lunch is included for in person participants, along with an optional “Graduation Reception” from 3:30-5:00pm.
